Hey~! What's going on?!

Hello Lovelies!

Oh my gosh! Where has the time gone?! It's been a two weeks since I've had the time to sit and write a post for you all!

I thought I'd give you a little update about the last few weeks and the up coming weeks. So lets start at the beginning - I've been plagued by migraines for the last month or so which have lasted for weeks at a time, this is one of the main reasons posting dropped down to just one a week. I didn't want to take a break as I've worked really hard over the last year at posting regularly so I've tried to keep it going - until last week where I had to take a little break (Hopefully the last one of the year!). I've been umming and ahhing over whether to give the site and logo a make over, I feel the current layout isn't working so well and I'm just not as fond of it as I was.

Last month was also my birthday! I was totally spoilt by Mr Lock, my family and also my lovely work mates.

I even made a Rilakkuma cake for the occasion - it was vanilla and chocolate inside with little Rilakkuma chocolates!

I've also sold my motorbike! This is something I never, ever thought I'd do as I loved my bike very much, but as this year has gone on it's become more and more uncomfortable for me to ride. The riding position is lent quite far forward and I've had surgery on my wrist twice so it can be quite painful. This means I'm not looking for another one - I'm quite picky so I get the feeling it might take awhile to find what I want which is a shame as the Reading Toy Run is coming up soon!

So, upcoming in the next few weeks is Hyper Japan's Christmas Market! I cannot wait for this! I had a really good time at the last Hyper event (despite the crazy amount of scalping) and I'll be attending on the Friday on behalf of Cyten but also with my youngest sister again! But, But but! There's more! I'll finally be cosplaying!

This is something I've been working really hard towards this year, after seeing photos of myself from the last Christmas market,  I've lost over 50lbs! (Hopefully more by the time Hyper hits) - I'm by no means done with this but I'm very proud of myself for my efforts and will carry this on into next year - but weight loss means that I feel more comfortable with cosplaying now, I've nearly finished my costume!

So there you go, in a nut shell real life has been keeping me super busy!
Do look out for me if you are going to Hyper Japan - I'd love to meet some of my readers!

Hyper Japan Festival 2015!

Hello Lovelies!

I am so excited! It's finally the week of the Hyper Japan Festival! I will be attending this on the Friday with my youngest sister! Come and say 'Hello!' if you spot me! I had been intending to wear cosplay for this but due to the recent heat wave in England, I think I'll save it for the Christmas event and just wear something kawaii to avoid heatstroke! This event looks like it will be so much bigger than the last one I attended in November - for starters this one is being hosted at the O2 arena! I've never been there before so that's exciting in itself!

There is literally so much to see and do, I cannot wait to see Die Milch perform!

I hope we can see this too! The Hello Kitty bento how-to! I've always loved the idea of bento but I've never been very creative with them. I'd love to see how to make kawaii bento.

Hyper Kawaii looks like it will be fun too! There's always lots of shopping to be done - I'm definitely going to check out Teatime treasures and Love JoJo's stalls first! Not forgetting of course that there is a dedicated gaming zone too! I do believe Nintendo will be attending.

For those who are fans of traditional Japanese culture, there are things to see and do too! I'll definitely be checking out the kimono and picking up some information on travelling to Japan.

Just look how big this! It looks like it's across quite a few floors too! There's even a maid café this time around! I'm not sure if we'll be checking that out as there's so much to see and do, but I'm sure we'll pop up there to see what's going on!

This is so exciting! Only two days to go! Add the fanpage on facebook for live updates through out the day on Friday!

Mystery Parcel

Hello Lovelies!

Last week a mystery parcel arrived. I have to admit I did think this was the swap I was doing with Scarlett but it turns out it wasn't! After much, much pondering I discovered that the parcel had been sent by a very lovely friend who had a feeling that I'd been having a hard time recently.

Inside was this cute little Hello Kitty case, on the front was a note saying Open me!

Wow! So much Hello Kitty!

Hello kitty and candy! What more could I need?

I'm so lucky to have such lovely friends! Thank you so much!

Gift Box Swap with Scarlett Juzzle!

Hello Lovelies!

It's an exciting post today! A while ago I arranged to do a gift Trade with Scarlett Juzzle of Pastel Dreams and Rainbow Skies! (Go check out her blog, it's so cute!) We settled upon a budget, a date to swap and a theme! We decided as we both love super cute and Japanese things that the theme for this swap would be Kawaii! So off we went to shop for a swap before packing up and posting out! Quite handily both boxes arrived on the same day so we could open them roughly at the same time!

Here's my box from Scarlett! I knew who it was from immediately! Look at all the super cute kitty, Rilakkuma stickers and sweet tape! I have to admit I was super excited when it arrived!

I think most of the Berkshire area probably heard me squeal when I opened the box, My first reaction was 'Oh my gosh! So much Rilakkuma!!!!!' I don't think I've ever been so happy to open a gift like this.

Here is everything that was in the box, even now looking at the photo makes me smile, there's just so much here. Scarlett really, really spoiled me and I'm so, so grateful to her. There's just so much here!! Candies, stationary, tape, stickers, lunch boxes, a bag and a plushie!

She even put in some cute little stickers - I have plans for these already!

Super cute Rilakkuma stickers! I do love stickers, I'm already planing what to use these ones for.

The Rilakkuma kitty is one of my most favourite prints, so I'm very pleased to have this. I'm currently using this mug at work.

Rilakkuma Bento, Panda cookies and Pudding flavoured choco. My lunch box recently broke this was perfect timing! The bento is a perfect size and there are little sections you can put in or take out. The panda cookies were so tasty, they were a caramel flavour, I've not had them before but I'd definitely buy them again. I really enjoyed the pudding choco too - I think it's supposed to be creme caramel flavour!

Rilakkuma tamago bag! How cute is this? It's a perfect size to fit the lunch box in - I'm currently using it as a handbag.

Korilakkuma plushie! Everyone's favourite mischievous bear! I do love this, she's so soft!

Korilakkuma memo pad - This is the perfect size to fit in a handbag - it's got different printed paper inside too.

Scarlett also included lots of kawaii stationary! This is perfect as I was planning on buying some shortly for an upcoming project!

Hello Kitty Pencil, Hi-Chew Candy and more stationary! I love Hi-Chew!

I also found this cute little envelope inside the box.

Inside was the sweetest letter I've ever received. This made me feel so loved! I'm always a bit unsure about what people think of my blog/site so this really made my day.

I want to say thank you so much to Scarlett for making this swap so special and wonderful. I've been having a rather stressful time recently so this really made me smile and cheered me up, thank you for being so kind and generous!

Afternoon out in Reading

Hello Lovelies! I was very lucky on the Easter bank holiday week and my lovely Beccy came to visit! We don't get to see each other that often as we live at opposite ends of the country. We spent the Friday after shopping in Reading before going for Dinner at Cosmo with my Husband.

Beccy drove all the way to our house and Harry was very happy to see her when she arrived! (He really does love everyone, especially Beccy!) He spent most of the weekend being Beccy's shadow.

We stopped for coffee at BBS Muffins - it's been for ever since I went out for coffee and it was lovely to sit and chat. We'd been walking around the shops for quite a few hours by this point and it was very busy in town because if the holiday. We did get quite a few nice things though! My highlight was the River Island sale where I got a dress reduced to £10 from £100 and a cute pair of pink shoes for £3.75!

Somehow we both ended up wearing leather jackets! It was probably a good choice as it started raining quite hard.

Beccy wanted something from the Urban Decay Counter in Debenhams - I really love their counter, it looks so pretty.

We found this funny little Iwako whale eraser in one of the stationary shops. There seems to be a lot of 'kawaii' stationary shops cropping up aside from paperchase recently. Reading has at least three of them.

Then it was time for dinner at Cosmo! For those of you that don't know, Cosmo is an all you can eat buffet place - but it has food from all around the world to choose from! My favourite is the the Dim Sum and some of the other dumplings, but that was out of order when we went (Can I use that as an excuse to go again??)

So I totally forgot to get photos inside the restaurant, because it is a little rushed (You have a time limit as it's so popular and it's always super busy).

Beccy's cute plate of desserts - they have lots of tiny little cakes to choose from.

My plate of dessert - I didn't each much of this as a lot of it wasn't what I expected. The apple crumble and the chocolate cake were nice though!

All in all, it was a fun day out, even if the weather was bad and it was so, so busy! (The queue in Primark was half way down the store!!) I can't wait till Beccy comes to visit again.
