Hey~! What's going on?!

Hello Lovelies!

Oh my gosh! Where has the time gone?! It's been a two weeks since I've had the time to sit and write a post for you all!

I thought I'd give you a little update about the last few weeks and the up coming weeks. So lets start at the beginning - I've been plagued by migraines for the last month or so which have lasted for weeks at a time, this is one of the main reasons posting dropped down to just one a week. I didn't want to take a break as I've worked really hard over the last year at posting regularly so I've tried to keep it going - until last week where I had to take a little break (Hopefully the last one of the year!). I've been umming and ahhing over whether to give the site and logo a make over, I feel the current layout isn't working so well and I'm just not as fond of it as I was.

Last month was also my birthday! I was totally spoilt by Mr Lock, my family and also my lovely work mates.

I even made a Rilakkuma cake for the occasion - it was vanilla and chocolate inside with little Rilakkuma chocolates!

I've also sold my motorbike! This is something I never, ever thought I'd do as I loved my bike very much, but as this year has gone on it's become more and more uncomfortable for me to ride. The riding position is lent quite far forward and I've had surgery on my wrist twice so it can be quite painful. This means I'm not looking for another one - I'm quite picky so I get the feeling it might take awhile to find what I want which is a shame as the Reading Toy Run is coming up soon!

So, upcoming in the next few weeks is Hyper Japan's Christmas Market! I cannot wait for this! I had a really good time at the last Hyper event (despite the crazy amount of scalping) and I'll be attending on the Friday on behalf of Cyten but also with my youngest sister again! But, But but! There's more! I'll finally be cosplaying!

This is something I've been working really hard towards this year, after seeing photos of myself from the last Christmas market,  I've lost over 50lbs! (Hopefully more by the time Hyper hits) - I'm by no means done with this but I'm very proud of myself for my efforts and will carry this on into next year - but weight loss means that I feel more comfortable with cosplaying now, I've nearly finished my costume!

So there you go, in a nut shell real life has been keeping me super busy!
Do look out for me if you are going to Hyper Japan - I'd love to meet some of my readers!

Heroine Make-up from Japan!

Hello Everyone!

Today I've a quick post on a Heroine make-up compact all the way from Japan - I'm very lucky that one of my good friends bought this back for me on a recent trip there a few months ago! (Sadly the Kit-Kats she also bought back for me didn't quite make it to the photos!)

The powder compact comes packaged on the cute little card - inside has the powder, a mirror and a little puff for applying it with. I really like the illustration on the packaging, I think it'd draw my eye to it in a store.

The powder itself is the lightest that they do - it's quite pigmented but not heavy. It applies very smoothly. It doesn't have much of a scent either which is good for those that don't like perfumed products

The coverage is very good too - I've not blended the edge in so you can see where the powder is - it's a pretty good match for my skin tone. My skin felt very soft and smooth after applying this - the only thing I did find was that it didn't last terribly long and needed touching up around lunch time and again later on in the day, but that could just be skin type, I imagine for someone with normal to dry skin this powder would be ideal.

Bonus photo! This was my make up with the Heroine Make Powder! As an over all powder for fixing foundation I found I had a few problems. It seemed to react differently with different foundations - for some reason when used with the Benefit Flawless foundation, it went super orange! I also found that it didn't react well to one of Miss Sporty's BB cream as it went a different shade of orange! However used on it's own its fine, it doesn't react and is great for days when you only want a little bit of coverage.

Have you ever tried any of Heroine's make up? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

A stroke (or two!) Of luck!

Hello Everyone!

I'm sorry for the lack of updates, real life has become really hectic and I'm just not getting time to sit and write anything, though hopefully, this won't be for too much longer!

Today I thought I'd share with you some good news! I rarely win anything so was super surprised when I won not one, but two give-aways with in a week of each other!

The first prize was from the lovely Luna Rain! I was so excited to receive this! (Her site runs from Luna Rain - You should totally go check it out!) As my name was first out (there were two prizes to choose from). I chose the sweet prize.

Inside were so many things and a very cute letter! (We have the same note paper!)

Here are the prizes. The colours are so pretty!

First up is this adorable cake keyring - the colour matches my nail varnish!

Next is this lovely double bow headband. I've not work anything this pretty for quite some time since I retired from lolita but I know for sure I will wear this as it's so cute!

Two hair clips! These will fit perfectly with my newer style and are one of my favourite colours.

Kitty socks! This is my favourite part of the prize! I love cats, these are so, so cute - they even have little tails on the back!

Macaroon blanket! This is super soft and snuggly.

Sketchbook - I've been looking for a small book for sketching down notes and ideas and this is perfect!

Wrist cuffs - these are really lovely too, the colour is really pretty and the materials used are really soft. There were a few other items which I didn't photograph but loved very much too!

~~~~~~~~~
The second prize I won was from Yutaka/Tofu cute.
Inside the box was a sushi kit for two and a funny little pea keyring - I had way to much fun with this and it's on my bag now, the little peas pop out when you squeeze it and one has a face on it!
I want to say thank you very much to Luna and Yutaka as these prizes really cheered me up! I always think I have such bad luck but occasionally something like this will happen and make me think otherwise!
Hopefully we'll be back to our regularly scheduled posts soon!
Thanks for sticking with me!
Hyper Japan Photos + Shopping Haul
Hello Lovelies!
As promised here are my photos, video and shopping haul from Hyper Japan!
First things first! When we eventually got in we went to find Keren at Tea Time Treasures! Keren and I have been friends for quite a long time now but we've never actually met in person until now. I didn't realise how much of a giant I am until I saw this photo!
Keren's stall had a lot of Lolita, Kawaii and Die Milch merchandise - Tea Time Treasures was one of the very few stalls I found that weren't scalping.
From here I bought two Die Milch Cd's (which they very kindly signed for me! Yay! I'm so happy!)
And a Sailor Moon Twinkle Dolly charm.
Keren also very kindly picked up a few items for me in Japan on her last visit (Another post on these later!) But she also gave me this adorable Rilakkuma bottle cover! I've gotten a lot of use out of this already and I just love the picture on it.
Next we went to find Love Jojo's stall as my sister and I had joined in the give-away event - we both got given these cute little squishy panda charms.
We then had a look around the other stalls and did a little shopping, whilst trying to work out where everything was.
We came across LoLiBuNNi quite early on as my sister happened to know one of the people running the stall! They had some goregous items for sale (You should go check out their site) but my favourite thing was the Sailor Moon necklaces.
Look how pretty these are!
I bought one of the necklaces - I really like how it has both cord and ribbon for the chain as it gives it a softer look.
Close up of the charm - it's just such a pretty image and is really lovely on too.
Last year I bought a ton from Dreamy Bows - this year I could only find one of the items I wanted in my price range, they did have the powder compacts, room fragrance and perfume but these were all out of my budget.
I did buy the locket tablet case - now oddly, and I didn't notice at the time as my purchase was taken from the stock they had an put straight in the bag, the candy is missing! There is a sticker on the bottom of the box saying that the it doesn't contain sweets but I'm 99% sure there should have been some in there - it's rather odd as it means someone has gone through, taken these out of the packet and removed the candy? I found it a little odd but not a major thing.
Now I'm not sure whose stall I bought this from as I couldn't see the name of the stall, but I bought Sailor Uranus's liprod, two petite chara (I was hoping for Sailor Moon) and two of the little capsule prizes (I've wanted the Grail for such a long time!) I think this was my favourite stall next to JP Books and I do wish I'd bought Neptune's rod and more of the petite chara as well.
From Roxie Sweethearts stall I bought this adorable pair of pastel bat earrings! I have a necklace already that would go really well with these too!
There was a stall selling all sorts of traditional Japanese tableware too - I bought this cute little kitty bowl to use at work. Next time I would buy some dinner plates for home too!
Lastly was JP Books - I love this stall, and I'm definitely going to go find the store next time I'm in London to buy a Rilakkuma bear! I bought the kitty bag mascot, 3 scented pens and a magnet.
I've wanted the mascot from this series for quite awhile so I'm really happen to have been able to purchase this! There's a little bell on him too so he jingles!
Then it was time for Die Milch's performance!
 I managed to get some of the performance on my phone!
Afterwards I was lucky enough to get a photo with them.
And that's pretty much it! We headed home shortly after that as we had another engagement to go to!  We did buy some Taiyaki, Takoyaki and nice ice but forgot to photograph it before scoffing it.
I hope you enjoyed reading! Did you go to Hyper Japan? Let me know in the comments!
